I think the next trend will be for Venture Capital to continue to enter the space as regulatory uncertainty on ICOs will slow down the issuance of tokens and projects will be forced to get seed capital the traditional way. Unfortunately, that limits the participants to accredited investors until regulation is established. Blockchain technology will be the main attraction for most VC partners this year. Although it may delay adoption, it will help in the long term as it adds some positive governance structure to these early stage projects.

One aspect not analyzed that is very important is social mood. This is a qualitative aspect and knowing the mood of the populace as it relates to crypto has a big impact on the movement on trendlines. The only tool that is readily availiable to analyze social mood right now is https://solume.io/ I think its a good starting point. Not everything can be analytics and quantitative.
