I Cover News In The Following Order :

  • BTC Price Update
  • Crypto News
  • Twitter Updates

Bitcoin Price Update:

Thats my view , well it could do more internal corrections in the blue channel but a impulsive breakout is what I'm looking forward to . Any buys within the green box would be excellent, The best suggestion would be to dollar cost average into BTC right now.

NEWS

1) Singapore Confirms It Will Not ‘Ban’ Cryptocurrency, Has No ‘Risk Concerns’:

Singapore's deputy prime minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam provided new commentary on the government’s commitment “not to ban” cryptocurrency as part of its future regulatory plans.
In a series of fourteen statements published Monday, Feb. 5 in response to questions posed by members of parliament Tuesday, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, deputy prime minister and minister in charge of regulatory body the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), confirmed a broadly hands-off policy regarding cryptocurrencies going forward.

IMO: Coinbase in Singapore has serious caps on the amount of bitcoin you can buy or transact, I think the goverment has a play in this and there is not complete freedom as of yet.

2) Coinbase Crypto Exchange To Roll Out Long-Awaited SegWit Upgrade In ‘Few Weeks’:

The Coinbase cryptocurrency exchange tweeted Monday, Feb. 5, that they will soon implement the Segregated Witness (SegWit) scalability upgrade for Bitcoin addresses, which will help reduce transaction times and fees for sending and receiving Bitcoin (BTC).
Although they are in the final stages of testing for their SegWit implementation, Coinbase reminded customers that they prioritize security and performance over new features by linking to their Dec. 2017 blog post on the topic.

3) Baroness Michelle Mone launches cryptocurrency to 'encourage women to invest in tech':

Michelle Mone has announced the launch of her own cryptocurrency with boyfriend and businessman Doug Barrowman, in the hope that it will "encourage more women to invest in the tech industry".
According to Reuters, the project will have 250 million tokens in supply, of which 65pc will be released for sale to investors, meaning the founders will hold 35pc of the remaining tokens.
"There are lot of ICOs out there, about 1,300, but what’s different about ours is that it’s underpinned by the success of our businesses," Baroness Mone said. "There’s real utility value there and you’re coming onboard with some of the biggest business people around."

IMO: There's a coin named pinkcoin which is doing the similar thing, this just seems like another shitcoin not resoving any real issue with blockchain technology, they could have implimented this without an ICO .. seems like they are just trying to make a quick buck . Their key strategy for its success would only be Marketing/promotions and nothing else.

4) Bitcoin price WARNING: Crypto to reach $100,000 if it holds onto this KEY metric:

Mr Moas explained bitcoin’s current downward trend could still result in profitable investment if large sums invested in stocks and gold "finds its way into cryptocurrency."
He said: "We have $230 trillion right now in the world tied up in stocks, cash, bonds, and gold. All four of them are overvalued.
"If two percent of that $230 trillion finds its way into cryptocurrency, you would be looking at a $4 trillion market valuation thirteen times where we are today.

IMO: I'm sure everyone knows about this already , we don't need a expert to really tell us this and props to the absolutely clickbaity title for this article .. lol

5) Could Blockchain Solve the Multi-Billion Dollar Problem of Digital Advertising Fraud?

This was a Promoted post by Clearcoin - Shailen failed to report that

ClearCoin, who are in their own words ‘a technology company that powers the real-time buying and selling of media on decentralized applications and the broader digital environment.’ According to their white paper, ClearCoin have created a ‘revolutionary’ solution. ‘The proof-of-history Blockchain will use a ledger to record all digital advertising impressions that it has access to.
The ledger will serve to separate real ad impressions from fraudulent ones. The information will be a security layer against fraud in the ecosystem.’ This ledger will allow ClearCoin to advise companies on publishers which are more likely to provide fraudulent results, saving them time and effort from being wasted on fake views.

ClearCoin wants their technology to become industry standard. They aim for June 2018 to be when ‘the user interface is available for all users to execute their media buys,’ and December 2018 the projected date for the proof-of-history ledger to be made available for the public to explore. ClearCoin is keen to point out that their team have already worked with ‘the largest advertisers and media agencies in the world,’ and hope to mostly grow through peer recommendations, by providing a service that genuinely works and saves money.

6) US: SEC, CFTC Cryptocurrency Meeting Continues Existing Regulatory Narrative:

In lengthy testimony already available for viewing, SEC chairman Jay Clayton reiterates concernsabout the need to distinguish between ICOs as securities and non-securities, and hints markets remain unprepared for Bitcoin ETFs in the near-term.
Clayton states:

“Investors should understand that to date no ICOs have been registered with the SEC, and the SEC also has not approved for listing and trading any exchange-traded products (such as ETFs) holding cryptocurrencies or other assets related to cryptocurrencies. If any person today says otherwise, investors should be especially wary.”

Very nice break down @steemaze. Keep up the great work

Thanks a lot m8 :)

I'm so glad you guys are bringing your content over to Steem. The community needs more distribution of relevant information for the benefit of the community. Although price is important, I think we need to focus on the underlying factors that will drive future value: adoption, regulation, technology and utilization.

Hey Altcoinbuzz, I agree with the other comments….its great having you here on Steemit. Another usefull, upto date video. Great to here that Singapore has of positive view on crypto the more exmaples of this kind of attitude the better, especially now. The US for example in the regulation meeting has suggested that it does not want to stifle the possible positive aspects of blockchain but are going to, at some time in the future, come down on dodgy ICO (which in my opinion can only be a good thing in the long run). Segwit on coinbase can indeed only be a good thing as it was getting a bit crazy with completion tines but more importantly if it reduces friction and more people use it as an on ramp then all the better. I have no idea what the price of BTC will be at the end of the year but I sure hope it sa heap more than it is today……cos I am getting as much as I can!…. I am a Stellar holder, though with everything that has been going on I have not checked in with them lately so thanks for the heads up. Keep up the great job that you are doing, cheers J

appreciate that Jeff

Hey Steemaze, I just realised that it was you who posted the Altcoinbuzz vid and not them, so......from all the thanks that I gave them, take a bit for yourself. Cheers J

that's right Jeff!

....well done

Thanks for the round-up. I had no idea that there's now ~1,300 ICOs.

I've tried finding projects such as ICX, ADA, Aion .. in their ICO phase .. I just can't find anything of value .. you got any ICO's you looking forward to ??

@altcoinbuzz , could you help find undervalued ICO's that we could keep in our radar or possibly invest in the pre-sale phase
You could make a video on that !!!! :))

you got any ICO's you looking forward to ??

No; I'm hunkering down.
