Howdy folks and greetings from the Great Plains of North Texas!
For some reason I thought Iceland would be too cold to have herds of horses roaming around up there but they sure do and they're rugged!
I don't think you can see this scene anywhere else in the world:

This amazing photo looks like a fantasy but the horses are standing in front of a large waterfall and there is also some light snow which creates a magical effect:

I found a photographer and film maker named Drew Doggett who does amazing work in some of the most unusual and scenic places on earth...like Iceland.
He spent weeks with the horses in their incredible natural environment and came away with stunning still photos as well as a short film.
Here's a shot of him next to a beautiful blue pool of glacier water, I love this one!
The geography in Iceland is just surreal. What a stunning contrast in colors:

Running in the snow. These guys have adapted to the harsh conditions:

Most of the beaches there have black volcanic sand:
This is one of my favorites because of that big chunk of ice!

I love the ice blue color of the glacier ice:

Drew Doggett has a great story. When he was in college he realized he could make a living as a photographer so he moved to New York City and became an apprentice to some of the top fashion photographers in the world.
In doing so he was able to crisscross the globe working with musicians, models, and celebrities. But his heart's desire was to be independent and tell stories of people, cultures and places of the world, especially stories that have never been told.
Drew at work:
So in 2009 he took a leap of faith and started traveling the world on his own, finding unique stories to tell. It was a huge risk but it paid off.
His photography and films are stunning. You can check out his projects here.
One more surreal photo:

Looks a bit cold!
Great to see you on Hive
Howdy sir frot! Thanks so much, good to see you too! Are they shutting your whole country down yet? That's a great photo!
They are certainly trying to - NZ now has a totally closed border - no foreigners allowed in!
I don't blame them, dang foreigners are a nasty lot. lol.

Howdy tonight esteemapp and thank you for the upvote!
I can only say "wow"!!! And more wow!!!
Something in me just so loves that a fashion photographer can step away from what many perceive as a frivolous world and plunge head first into the depths of Mother Nature. I'm blown away by his talent.
Howdy artemislives! Thanks so much and I couldn't agree more. His website is full of amazing videos and photos, just astounding work. I'm so glad you liked it and it's good to meet another great ..I almost said Steemian...what are we calling ourselves now that we moved to the Hive? lol. Anyway another great person from Thailand!
Damn fine question - what ARE we calling ourselves? Hivians? Hivesters?
lol...I like your suggestions! I'm sure people will come to a consensus soon.
Buzzy Bees! - The Buzzy Bee is a popular toy in New Zealand. It resembles a bee with rotating wings that move and make a clicking noise while the toy is pulled along the ground. It was designed and first produced in New Zealand in the 1930s, by Maurice Schlesinger
Amazing photography. The horses are beautiful.
Howdy today redheadpei! I agree, I'm so glad you like them!
Proper photographers really blow me away with pics like these. A friend of mine is a pro photographer and while not this special, he can make the mundane look incredible just with his artistic vision.
Howdy gooddream! I agree. I'm blown away by the way they capture their subjects. I know they have the best equipment but I think most of them are also gifted in their abilities.
Hey janton, I made it onto hive.blog and here I was thinking that it was harder than Ben Hur, lol. By the way beautiful white horses. Horses have a very special magic.
Howdy angiemitchell! It was easy for me except getting access to my wallet, I need to see if I can get in there today. Are you posting on both steemit and Hive?
I agree about the horses!
Sent that video link to my aunt. She raised horses years ago.
Well well well...look who's still alive. Good to know that sir krazzytrukker! The other day we went to town and the truck traffic was horrendous, wall to wall trucks to and from town, we were really surprised.
Then, when we got to our exit where the Peelot is, the place was more jam packed than I've ever seen it. They had trucks waiting in lines to get in and they were stacked all around the exit on other properties, trucks everywhere! What's the deal? I thought traffic would be way down from so many businesses being closed and not taking deliveries.
The hysteria and panick hype propagated by the Destroy Trump and America by any means Fake News Media has everyone chasing their tails.
Plenty of T.Paper in whrs's all over this country. And somebody has to re-supply all the Ass Wipes that are being fooled by the liars on the TV.
Howdy today sir krazzytrukker! You mean there ain't really a TP shortage? What the?? Not getting that supply out to the stores should be a captital offense! lol.
