Here are the rules#amazingnature contest.

I found a few #featheredfriends that were willing to pose very briefly for photos for the contest. I love having the beauty of nature right at my doorstep.

A first to see your Nuthatch what another lovely surprise in the birds you share Melinda.

Each picture tells of lovely story of how cold the conditions are over there, making it magical to think how our birds cope through all seasons.

The little fellows do spend more time at the feeders on these cold days!
The nuthatches are a favorite. I get two different kinds here. This one is the white-breasted nuthatch, and I also get the red-breasted. It is fun to watch them bopping along upside down on a tree trunk.

I knew it @melinda .. ^^ I would have bet on it, too .. whenever I will see an entry from you into the amazing nature contest it would be about birds .. I just did not know how beautiful it would be .. just amazing, or even AMAZING !!! ;) .. This firs picture I like the most .. Flakes of white snow, feathers as red as blood, and branches as black as ebony .. This cardinal is not called Snow-White by any chance ^^ .. absolutely lovely

It is so cold that I don't have many outdoor photo options right now, so birds it is! Maybe that is Snow Whites Cardinal!

The cardinals do provide a splash of color in the snow. It has rained all day and it melted away the ice, but they are predicting another storm on Friday.

The weather is so strange all over the world. We have had rainy weks before Christmas and since then every day is a sunshine day. I wonder when we will get some snow down in the valleys too.
I hope the storm will not be too bad and it stays cold afterwards, that I at least can see some ice and snow on your photos if I cannot have it here myself 😉

They are really quite pretty, especially with the ice-covered branches behind them. That cardnal stands out amazingly well, with all the white and gray around him. You would think being bright red would make you an easy target for a bigger bird.
