A honor to Selena

I think that music had a big impact on our lives. Starting from an artist that is trying to make a difference, an impact, let's just say they want to “save” the world with their music, their style and with their existence.
There are many musicians that really made an impact and made it into the history of music. But that’s why music is always all around us, just as a reminder that you can’t be happy, sad, joyful or just having a simple day,
without singing or listening to some music to make you feel better or make you just feel good. That’s why we love music and the artist that are in that industry.
History of music and the artist have a big impact today, many artists and music styles are coming back, and many songs are listened to today that were popular many years ago.

One of the reasons that you must visit Corpus Christi, it is because it will bring you back to a different time, a special kind of time for music and the impact that was made back in the days and made it into history.
We have to cherish the music and artist that made music history still living today.

The remarkable artist is the famous Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, a famous singer that was born in Texas, who died at a very song age.
She was called the Queen of Tejano music and the impact that she made in music and also in fashion, made her one of the most celebrated Mexican-American entertainers of the late 20th century.
She was also called “The Tejano Madona.” She was something special.

In honor of her and her music, in Corpus Christi, where she died in the 1995s, there is a Selena museum located in the city she called home.
It is a must-see museum. You will be more than amazed! It is something special and unique. She was a special artist, musician, she tried to break down barriers and pursue her dream relentlessly.
They say her heart was for the music, people and the community.

Some of the world famous hits made by Selena are "Como la Flor," "Amor Prohibido," "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom," "Dreaming of You," "Si Una Vez," "No Me Queda Mas,"
"I Could Fall in Love," "Baila Esta Cumbia," "La Carcacha," "El Chico del Apartamento 512", and "Techno Cumbia."

There is a bronze statue of Selena, a life-size sculpture, which is located along the Shoreline Boulevard in Corpus Christi.

When you visit the museum, you will see her clothes, cars, fashion design drawings, her Grammy, her pictures and so many other things, listen to her music, see her studio, etc.

The museum address is Leopard Street, and the museum is open from Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm.

An amazing honor to Selena that was made by Corpus Christi and amazing fans is something that you have to see and experience the loss of a young soul that was killed (if you didn’t know) by the president of her fan club, Yolanda Saldivar, at a Days Inn motel.
