Little Island of Adventure

Little Talbot Island is one of the last underdeveloped barrier islands in Florida, with its sandy beaches, gentle breeze and beautiful scenery. The atmosphere of dunes, salt marshes and maritime forest makes Little Talbot Island the perfect picture of relaxations and nature study. The several habitats in the park host a diverse wildlife show, with a variety of migratory and native birds, river otters, bobcats and marsh rabbits.
The ocean surrounding Little Talbot Island is blessed with surf and a tidal stream of excellent fishing for sheepshead, striped bass, redfish, mullet and flounder. Furthermore, the park offers several popular activities for all genders and age such as trail hiking, picnicking, surfing, kayaking and beachcombing. The picnic pavilions are located by the beach and are available for the use of park visitors and can be reserved in advance for a small fee. A camping group is located by the eastern salt marshes of Myrtle Creek and make to a spectacular view and sounds of nature.

The entrance fees are charged per vehicle with two to eight occupants. Any number of people greater than eight will have to pay additional per person fees and the county surcharges may apply in this transaction. There are additional fees to use park amenities, such as camping grounds, special tours and equipment rental. All children under six are free at all state parks. To stay over in the overnight accommodations, there’s also a fee to pay that varies from $16 to $42 per night, depending on the camping group and the cabins vary from $30 to $160 per night, also depending on the location. Additionally, visitors are required to pay a non-refundable reservation fee of $6.70 (per reservation) when making the reservation on the call center or online. There are discounts to Florida citizens who are at least 65 years old and for disabled people. Everyone must prove that they live in Florida and must present the documentation upon arrival.
