U.S. Democracy, White Supremacism

Many call the beginning of the political crisis in the United States during the Trump era a crisis of democracy. After the Capitol Hill incident, I saw a lot of discussions and writings about democracy in the United States among Bangladeshi journalists, political leaders, and political commentators, to assess their own political thinking and the fragile state of democracy in favor of convenience rather than in-depth observation. Free elections are needed to consolidate democracy, and long-term practice is needed to institutionalize this system. Just as these are not made in a day, if they are made again, they cannot be broken in a single day.

There is no precedent in American history for the recent events on Capital Hill, there is no precedent in U.S. democracy. This divisive state of U.S. democracy is not something that has been created since Trump became president, its seeds have been sown in American society for centuries. The vicious wound of white supremacism has been exposed in the Trump era in a very dirty way, shaking democracy. However, the country has the capacity to cope with that shock. The two pillars of US democracy - independence and the rule of law - have the capacity to deal with adversity.

The third pillar, the free and fair election system, has been hit hard by Trump's "cult" politics of white supremacy in the 2020 election. But this black chapter does not mean that Americans are following the path of fascism in their country's governance. It is the weakness of US democracy that has come to power in the ‘cult’ cycle of apolitical, white supremacism like Trump in the aftermath of the black chapter of capitalism, which is affecting US politics, but in the end it is the rule of law that shakes US democracy.
A just bureaucracy, a moral judiciary, a free, vibrant media and an independent civil society are essential for the rule of law.

Despite all the efforts of the powerful Trump to stay in power, nothing has been achieved, this is the ability of American democracy to survive. The great role of the righteous bureaucracy in achieving this capability. In the United States, the shift to power marks the beginning of a change in the head of the bureaucracy, not in the implementation of political decisions, but in proving the Constitution ‘defy’ or ‘trivial’. There is always a permanent set-up of bureaucracy called 'permanent government'. Most of the so-called "permanent government" bureaucrats scattered in the alleys of various government agencies have their own political views, but with few exceptions, almost all come to office with political bias at home and the president forgets which party he belongs to. The Hatch Act forced bureaucrats to exercise restraint in favor of their political position in government offices run on people's tax money. This is how the law and the situation keep the check and balance market afloat by pursuing unprincipled bureaucrats.
Trump has also threatened to imprison his opponents, as in Third World democracy. But despite Trump's preferred nomination to the top job in the judiciary, the judiciary as a whole has followed the path of constitutional policy ethics, working for free and fair elections to protect democracy.
Trump has always said that the media is the enemy of the people. Despite his misbehavior, the media has published one scandal after another of Trump. Many Third World journalists spend most of their time in flattering questions about the head of state or the head of government. Trump would have been the winner if the US media had walked that path, but the responsibility of the US media has ultimately ensured the victory of democracy.
Trump has tried to do enough damage to the rule of law. The FBI, the intelligence agencies, the military, the police, the civil bureaucrats and others have been pressuring people not to be loyal to the constitution, but to be loyal to Trump and Trump's ideology, but to no avail. He himself has tried a lot to avoid tax evasion. But even with the appointment of choice in the judiciary, the ruling on tax matters could not take its toll. Trump, like many heads of government around the world, has tried to walk the path of dictatorship, but because of the strong foundation of the US constitutional and executive bodies, he has been able to do nothing but shout.

While Trump has not been successful, he has thrown the US election system into disrepute. This risk needs to be addressed. It is time to rethink the current system of relying on electoral votes, ignoring the popular vote. The founding politicians of the United States established a modern democratic system in comparison to their era in the light of the then rural system, inadequacy of education, limited communication system, low average life expectancy and backward social system. The election of Bush, the election of Al-Gore, the election of Hayes vs. Tilden in 18 has been complicated by a couple of elections. The aging of American democracy is considered by many to be the cause of the problem. This old democracy needs to be renewed, the amendments do not seem to be enough to deal with the stigma. Modernization is essential in a democracy that interests interests of all classes, such as African Americans, Hispanics, and the new generation.

In many new democracies, various safeguards have been created to protect elections and democracy. Countries like India's powerful Election Commission, South Africa, Taiwan have strong election management systems. The depoliticization of the judiciary in the new democracies is playing a very important role for sustainable democracy. The political appointment of Supreme Court judges could be catastrophic if it falls into the hands of people like Trump. Judges' job age and selection process are very transparent in many countries of the world. After the appointment of a judge in the Supreme Court of Japan, the next general election has to be approved by the people. The United States lags far behind in these matters, and the United States Federal Supreme Court is not only the interpreter of the Constitution, but also the symbol of United States unity. It is very important that recruitment in such an important organization is apolitical.

Despite these limitations, American democracy is strong enough to avoid catastrophic situations due to its strong foundations. Democracy in the United States has a reputation, but at least there is no chance of it becoming a powerful leader. But the position was never ideological. The name of the United States does not appear in any good reference to democracy, there is no chance to say the country of the best democracy. The United States ranks 25th in the democracy index. The first country is the triumph of the Scandinavians, followed by Canada, Australia, New Zealand.

The problems caused by Trump's reckless behavior and his extremist supporters do not stem from the weakness of the free and fair electoral system in the United States. Rather, Trump's rise to power came through free and fair elections with a radical conservative ideology. Trump's mafia-style behavior has led to some weaknesses in the US election system, but at the end of the day, it is this election system that has kept Trump from being reckless, from being willing to please. One of the reasons for this is the adherence to the rule of law by other allied constitutional and executive bodies to ensure fair elections. Issues such as the personal interests, promotions, and powers of military, civilian bureaucrats, or law enforcers were in no way involved with Trump's election-winning mechanism. In the US administrative system, there is no room for balance and decentralization of federal and state power. These differences must be taken into account before making comments about free and fair elections in the United States.

The long-standing practice of education and civilization is important for the makeup pattern of human character. While there are many negative characteristics of the people in the United States, there are some basic norms of self-esteem in their public and private executives, leading to a rare culture of surrendering oneself to injustice because of greed, ignoring allegiance to one's own people, state, constitution and justice without isolated examples. Absolutely missing. It would be unfair in the analysis of American politics to forget that individual freedom and self-respect are capable of stifling the rise of a monster like Trump in American society.
How can we forget about the Secretary of State of Georgia before we are satisfied that the US electoral system, democracy is gone. In the United States, the Secretary of State is politically elected and is responsible for elections at various levels of state from the federal government. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is a member of Trump's Republican Party. Trump himself, speaking for an hour with the help of Ducksite's lawyer, put a lot of pressure on the Secretary of State to manipulate him. The world has already heard this conversation. The Secretary of State strongly disagreed with Trump's demands, in favor of electoral honesty, in favor of the Constitution, and not in favor of his party's president. When a person's personality and self-esteem become the brand of an educated society, executives, dishonesty automatically falls into place.

In times of crisis, even radical politicians have to stand up for the people and the constitution. In the United States, there are a number of extremist politicians as well as a large number of ideological politicians who have become a symbol of national unity in times of crisis. Overnight episodes of politicians in both houses of Congress, with their allegiance to the Constitution and extreme loyalty and responsibility to the people, will be a milestone in the history of democracy. Politicians who oppose the vice president, the House and the Senate leadership to ignore the bigotry of the Bigot President are simultaneously setting a shining example in the dark days of U.S. democracy, a unique general example of the people's (for, by) government responsibility.

The problem posed by Trump was essentially the struggle for the existence of white supremacists. Why this fight? Which is why Trump has to stay in power, even if he doesn't get the voters' vote or occupy Capitol Hill. This is because of the uncertainty surrounding the dwindling number of white supremacists and the perceived threat to their very existence. The extremist thinking of Trump and his supporters is nothing new, it has been ingrained in the minds of Westerners, especially Americans, for hundreds of years. As a result, many Americans could not get out of the mindset of the movie 'Wild Wild West' even in the midst of technological advancement of 2020 and a more humane world system.

Those who contribute the least to the technological, military, and economic excellence of modern America suffer, and those who participate suffer the most. They are scared of globalization and so it is their death bite. I said in an article after Trump's victory - the rise of Trump is the beginning of the end of the era of white supremacists. In an article entitled "Elections in Litigation and US Civilization" on the 2020 US election, I said that the light of US civilization has not been touched by the fact that white supremacists represent that part. In the United States, immigrants from many ethnic groups play a major role in science. The western shores of the Pacific Ocean and the northeastern Atlantic shores and the light of civilization shine on global standards, with some of the world's best universities. The pro-Trump states in the Middle East are already more aggressive in their self-interest than in responsibility and humanity.

Those who have seen the look and feel of the Capitol Hill attackers will surely be able to imagine the classification of Trump supporters. The patrons of this class are some rich, fat-minded ultra-conservatives like Trump. While they are currently riding on the shoulders of Republicans, at some point moderate Republicans will also produce annoyance, the signs of which are already clear. Some aristocratic conservative politicians will benefit from using this class, their shouts will keep American politics and democracy busy for a few more years, but their power is bound to erode over time.
