I want to share photos and talk about working inside the most famous skyscraper in the world Empire State Building.
You can enter the building from three sides. The main entrance (it's tourist) and two, for those who work in the building, usually tourists are not allowed through these entrances. At each entrance are people who greet guests with the phrase "Welcome to The Empire State Building". In the photo below, one of the entrances for employees.
If you enter through the main entrance, you get to the main lobby. Usually tourists come here to take photos and get to the observation deck.
Usually I go inside through the entrance for the staff as there are fewer people and you can go straight through the turnstiles to the right elevator. Entrance is strictly by pass. Inside there are a huge number of elevators, and the entire building of their 73 according to Wikipedia. They are divided according to what floor you need. In each such compartment, separated by a turnstile, there are 8 elevators.
You can call it using the touch screen, indicating the required floor. There are no buttons inside, only for emergency help. When you lift or go down, he puts his ears. The first time is very unusual, then you get used to it.
The floor on which the office is located.
The windows overlook all 4 sides, the view of the city is incredible.
On the first floor there are cafes and restaurants where office plankton can eat. In some of them, a discount for employees. On the minus first there is a gym with very democratic prices, only the employees of the building can use the hall.
