t was all a bit of a letdown really. I had planned to settle down with the popcorn for the next few days as the election ebbed and flowed in either direction.
Instead I woke up this morning to see that it was job done and Trump was about to walk into the Whitehouse without a glove laid on him.
So what happens now that Trump is back. I expect to see a nice revenge wave as he targets all those who conspired against him over the past couple of years.
People fired, litigation throw around the place and a lot of uproar for the first twelve months. As for actual presidential work? Who knows. The man is a law unto himself. If the democrats had ran anybody of substance against him they probably would have won. If the had ignored him instead of attacking him they probably would have won. If they had put in a good couple of months before the election and supported their citizens or at least laid out a path to do so going forward they probably would have won.
You have to think that they were their own worst enemies, insulting the American people and stooping to his level to fight against him.
He probably will be good for Americans but bad for the rest of the world as he has no concept of working towards common goals or actual diplomacy. On the other hand Trump will probably help his own country and cut through a lot of the bullshit that holds other people back. Taxes on foreign goods, tax cuts on industry. Stop funding wars in Ukraine.
It will be interesting to see how he combines with electric car maker Musk as his biggest backer after all the damage he did to climate relations in his last term. He is all about oil and gas instead of renewables.
He will probably pardon some of the capital rioters and a few other characters that have fallen foul of the government in the past. Himself included.
Crypto?
He has said in the past that he is pro bitcoin and that Gensler needs to go but that could be all about the votes. It will be interesting to see how much he is willing to back this statement as it's not so long ago that he was totally against all of it.
Analyst Markus Thielen, the CEO of crypto research firm 10x Research, wrote in a research note that recent history suggests that Gary Gensler is likely to resign in the near future amid the impending regime change. The SEC’s chairman would just be following in the steps of his predecessors.
The SEC chairman “typically resigns when a new president takes office, aligning with the incoming administration's preferences,” Thielen wrote.
From Decrypt
Whether Trump is pro Bitcoin or not it would have to be a positive if Gensler goes with his anti crypto agenda. If the head of the SEC is just pushing a presidential agenda then it is surely over now with the change in leadership.
Even if the actual election was a wash for excitement I'm sure that there will be plenty to come yet as Trump takes office and we see what carnage he can bring about in the next term. It's been too quiet for too long over there.

The election is over, now let's see what Donald Trump does for crypto
But maybe it's all really that simple; no money; no wars.
Us desperate crypto investors will cling to anything as a sign to pump our bags! Remember Big Bang Theory pump? ;)
I am a little fearful at what will happen as I bet this man-child shyster takes this election result as a free pass to do whatever he wants. Daddy can't bail a whole country out from his regular string of blunders and bad deals so I hope the republican party has some brains to regulate this orange shit show!
You da man, is all im sayin my brotha!
