I'm decent at understanding body language but sign language seems too bizarre, no pun intended. I can only dare to understand how tough it gets for two deaf persons to coordinate which doesn't steer into science alone. If there was an equal language for them all, then that would be really great. But for that public schools or organizations must also be established, which is a long process. It's a real issue, but one that gets the short end of the stick like many others.

Yes, you have brought up valid points. The coordination takes effort, for sure. Ideally the focus is to try to gather as much information in the US using ASL, and what technology we have to have those discussions and decide on appropriate signs used in the everyday life of those in the science fields. It takes grassroots efforts from everyone in the community to decide this is something that needs to be followed up on.
