To be honest all the anime i like is classic.
Not much of the recent stuff has that wondrous spark of treasured and discovery that anime had in the 90's. You see it was rare back then.
Some of the animes I like are:
Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon. That's all we had, basically.
And Pokemon, i guess.
Blessed be ADV, Viz and Manga Corps.
Things like Wings of Honneamise was beautiful.
The early Ghibis, Nausicaa, Laputa.
Discovering new things like the Blackjack series from the same guy as Astroboy.
The Fatal Fury trilogy, Ranma 1/2, Yu Yuu Hakusho, Macross Plus.
And so much more. After a lifetime of Disney Princesses, I discovered Akira
