Sure, he’d have to buy his username from this wag, but I’m pretty sure he’d be able to make an offer that couldn’t be refused. Meh, even if that failed, he could sign up as @therichestguyontheplanet and start cranking out the posts.
Granted, he could just buy every Steem token ever issued with loose change from the nooks and crannies of one of his many couches, but where’s the fun in that?
He already has a blog, so starting a new blog here wouldn’t tax his abilities all that much. In a pinch, he could just write an outline for each post, and then have some guy in Bangalore flesh it out for him.
But since he doesn’t really need the money, he could make it clear that all the SBD that his posts earned would be donated to his Foundation’s fight against malaria. He would of course accrue all Steem Power that he earned and never power down, as does any rational human being.
But think of all the mosquitoes that would die as a direct result of the SBD that he’d earn and donate to his pet worthy cause! What whale here wouldn’t upvote Bill Gates at 100%?
Gates could write a few paragraphs about how he came to write the code for DONKEY.BAS and Steemians would eat it up. He’d get thousands of upvotes.
The man’s got some free time; might as well put it to good use. His curation trail would become the stuff of legend. Come on, admit it -- if Bill gates gave you a 23% voting power upvote, you would include that as an accomplishment on your resume. It would be so much more impressive to a prospective employer than that you had proactively synergized the stakeholders of your business unit by empowering their end users.
