From moonshine in Texas in a trailer park, to spoonbending in Mexico and 100 people ready to stick hot needles in their ears if they ever hear Copacabana again… in today’s Jeff, Lucy, and Danny Show we cover some of the stories you’ve never heard about Anarchapulco. And how we went from one broken speaker and one broken mic to 2000 people herded professionally at the Princess.
HBO, the network streaming ‘The Anarchists’, describes Anarchapulco as such:
“In 2015, Jeff Berwick, a Canadian entrepreneur-turned-provocateur, launched a conference in Acapulco, Mexico in hopes of promoting anarchy in its purest form – an ideal espousing the absence of government with absolute individual self-rule.”
“The event, called “Anarchapulco,” draws an international array of libertarians, fugitives, and families seeking to “unschool” their children to protect them from the bureaucracies of modern life, as well as crypto-currency evangelists and others attracted to the idea of creating a stateless community, free from governments and central banking systems.”
I’m okay with that description.
But, they didn’t mention the actual purpose of these events… And, no, it’s not the really awesome parties, although those are pretty spectacular and this year will include stuff like the Apocalypse opening party, dinner with Ron Paul, Beach Club, Max Igan’s new Crowhouse Bar, and maybe even Fantasy Island for the adventurous.
But aside from the parties, it’s about the retreats and workshops with experts in their fields, including
Becoming free from internal and external parasites,
Google Rehab Clinic, and
The Nomad’s Guide to The Galaxy.
In essence, Anarchapulco is about finding and sharing solutions to create your own freedom from governments and central banking systems.
But it sure didn’t start off that way back in 2015.
Today, I’m chatting with Danny Sessoms, an RV and biking adventurer from TheCryptoShow.com, a twice-weekly FM radio show focusing on crypto, blockchain tech, disruptive tech, and economic and world events.
Danny and I go way back, to before I started Anarchapulco in 2015, and he’s been coming to the events every year, along with doing some really awesome things in Mexico and the US.
For me, it is a reminder of how much I’ve personally grown spiritually, emotionally, and physically since those first crazy Anarchapulco events.
All I can add is that Anarchapulco 2023 will be far less drama and better than ever! Get your tickets now for the main event on February 5-10. And make sure you don’t miss out on Agoraforko from February 11-18 – a brand new second week of decentralized fun (Included in VIP ticket or separate ticket required)
