The statist's modus operandi parallels the economic blunder the Keynesians make. "If we can force employers to make certain economic decisions, the workers will make more money and the economy will improve." Then their unintended consequences result in unemployment and they blame 'capitalism'.
They are all technocrats- they can't resist tampering and intervening, instead of leaving things alone to work themselves out with a minimally violent solution. But if you point out how they are the cause of greater trouble with their good intentions, you are a monster.
