The morality of victimless crimes is something that is being brought to the head front of many different movements. However many of these movements simply appeal to authority and the oppressors permission to engage in these acts. Never the less seeing the over all issue with violence and force being used over non violent acts is coming to become popular.
So what is it really about a victimless crime that really grinds peoples gears? Is it because they are all dope smoking and peddling criminals with no sense of morality? Just the contrary actually. It is due to a superior set of morales that one may oppose this. Ones that would never authorize violence on people for non violent actions even if one finds this action unbecoming themself.
Once we allow force to be used on people who use drugs, dont pay taxes, or any other crime without a victim, we open the door for any non violent act to be crime. To allow an illusion of security and the greater good to shield one from accepting basic morality before accepting an act is social conditioning. It is where people think what is legal before what is right.
Take for instance recent case of a young activist Jacob Frost. He was issued an arrest warrant unknowingly and arrested recently on 2 felony drug charges. For possession of "illicit drugs". Since he has prior charges he may sit in jail for a while. He is a cop block admin in Ohio, known by his friends and peers as harmless. Let us all see that peaceful people like Jacob, who love liberty and freedom will potentially be jailed as long as peaceful action is illegal.
End the war on behavior you dont like. For everyones sake.
Couldn't agree more. Moral does not equate to legal or vice versa.
