It's true. Just because it's a social norm or contract doesn't make it innately moral, even if everyone holds to it. It's a failed argument. "It is up to the son to decide for himself if he wants to abide by the same social conventions as his father. The son cannot be perpetually bound to an authority that has not received his consent, otherwise, he is not a son, but a slave." Well put.
