I might get some flak for this, but I have found that we that are awakened are too harsh on our fellow mankind.
Listen, I realize that most people are indoctrinated. I understand that we as anarchist/voluntarist have a process of thinking that MOST people don't get or understand. Once you are awakened, it is easy to see everyone that is not as an unintelligent individual, and we blame their cognitive skills. We must realize that it is not.
Were you not a statist at one point in time?
Did you understand what you do now then?
No, you did not, and neither did I.
People grow. If not, then they are dead.
Having rational arguments, explaining your position, not berating, nor insulting someone's intelligence is the way to cause understanding.
We, as individuals, wanting a free world for everyone, must stop antagonizing, and simply teach.
You already have learned. That doesn't mean everyone else has. They are indoctrinated, just like you were at one point. Let's stop picking on them, and make a valid attempt to teach them what we have learned. Otherwise, we are just attempting to use mental coercion to force them into a method of thinking they have a hard time processing.
We understand, they don't.
It's like getting upset with your child because they don't understand the way you do. They are not as sophisticated in their thinking, but you demand it. Is that rational?
Look at slavery in the United States. Once freed, from everything I have seen and read, those slaves had not an inkling of a clue on how to conduct themselves. They were lost, because they didn't understand the concept of freedom. Do you think that the statist slaves are any different? They adamantly believe in a process of living that has been indoctrinated in them from the time they were born. It's not that simple to change.
I want everyone to wake the fuck up too. I lay awake at night thinking of how to achieve it. It's just not that simple.
We must, as people that want to live in total freedom, awaken people with our minds. Making fun of people's intellectual level, and berating them for their slow capacity for information will not achieve this end. Only patient teaching will.
I get upset too. I know that it is difficult listening to a statist tell you how you are wrong in your thinking when they don't have the first clue. I really do. However, aren't you the more intelligent, the more capable, the more understanding? Let's spread this knowledge.
