If you buy an Android smartphone, which does not come directly from Google, so you wait even for the high-end devices for several months on the current Android version. But the biggest selling point of the Google phones is not the hardware, but the promise for fast updates. All the more surprising that the other manufacturers put so much time in their own Android surfaces, that the updates for already sold smartphones are pushed off.
