We all know android devices are Linux kernel on top of ARM processor and Raspberry PI is a mini computer with ARM processor designed for Linux kernel.
Many people out there asking, Can we run android on Raspberry PI?
Answer :Yes
But the biggest question is on reliability, performance, compatibility.
So here is what I found by running Android 5.0 on My Raspberry PI 2
Boot time
the boot time was approx 15 sec, seems to be good enough.
Audio Output
Clear audio output, No issue
Video
I had problems with video output, It took some time to detect the screen resolution and stabilize the display but Is within the acceptance range. Then I tried to play some videos with Veimo app this time the result was despairing there was only audio with a black screen. Then I tried playing a video with youtube, quite better I could see the video but the color was terrible.
System performance
The performance seemed to be similar to any android device with 1GB memory
So, I finally ended with flashing my SD card with raspbian :D
