Sorry to be a party-pooper but you don't still believe the promises of blockchain do you? Steemit is an example of a decentralized, censorship-resistant platform. And yet all the power is centralized in the hands of so few that when they decided they're no longer gonna vote for us unless we pay, we were forced to pay up or struggle to make ends meet. Also, I have had my posts censored, and even from the Steemit team has their been flagging of conspiracy theorist's posts.
The words they say sound nice, when they say them. But when you pay attention you will see that all decentralization means is that when we are fucked in future, there's no longer an organization we can go to in order to recoup our losses. Decentralization means nothing more than "You're on your own now, buddy."
Even consensus sounds awfully good they way they have spun it, but even that just means "group think wins every singly time."
Again, sorry. But, if you truly look at what's going on you will see that blockchain is not living up to any of its promises, but it's giving us a very clear look at what life in the future will be like if we allow it to be implemented.
I could have been clearer, what I should have wrote before or after that B word was "so it can never be deleted", I had years of travel pics saved on facebook and because im technologically retarded I didnt have a back up anywhere of them. With blockchain they will stay available for me in the future, the things im posting are for example like my nephews to see when they are my age, and to see some real truths of how it was before Google just has one answer on its search engines in the future or history is even more warped from madella effect than its already very manipulated teachings of history.
Anything that involves a large group of humans is a fuck up from the start because not everyone will be included in that same group creating seperation, that includes all social media platforms aswell. I saw from teenage years that anyway we will be fucked in the future just from looking at how the system treats old people and retirement when your too old to live, and yes your correct, we will be on our own, but hey look on the brightside, humans will be obsolete soon (a great title of a documentary video) and so in the future all unemployed on government money, there wont be anything of real value to loose or get stolen or scammed on anyway as we will have just a device or chip with our government pay on it :)
I dont know much about blockchain, well its functions I do but its promises I havent seen or heard before I dont think
