While I was walking in a zoo, I came across a funny creature swinging in a tree branch. A gibbon!
This gibbon is called white-handed gibbon. As you can see in their hand, it's pure white hence the name. This type of gibbon possesses the long arms and hand typical of gibbon species, which are perfectly suited to swinging from branch to branch. It doesn't have any tail, but it does have a good balance! Very impressive indeed.
The gibbon inhabits primary or secondary semi-deciduous monsoon forests and tropical evergreen forests. This gibbon species is currently endangered so you can rarely see them in the forest, if you want to see them you must go visit a zoo in Southeast Asia!
