The old shoes are wore out.
There isn't much to reference in this picture for how thick the shoes should be, but these are thin, for sure.
Cross country horse shoes are drilled and tapped in the heels so that the client can add custom traction for the conditions of the course.
Finished shoe. I love the colors or a freshly forged shoe.
