Little is known about the mysterious crocodiles.

But the latest research, led by crocodile expert Matt Shirley, suggests that this might be a brand new look.

He may have mutated because of the life in the dark.

Their DNA is different from other crocodiles, which means they can adapt to life in the cave. The shapes of their heads are different.

They also eat bats, crickets and snails.

Perhaps the most puzzling is their color. Scientists say this is due to acid bleaching, though they are not sure.

Scientists: We lose our big predators on a global scale

Scientists have discovered birds that evolve into a new species

"The crocodiles live in an aquatic environment with guano - stools, urine and bird, bats and seals, and that is a very harsh environment, a chemical reaction that affects the skin, but we have no means to prove it," says the test.

The first orange crocodiles found are about 1.7 meters. They can survive years in the dark.

The crocodiles inhabit Abanda caves.

"The area is very remote, there is no access to the road, you have to travel by ship from the nearest town for a day, and then you have to stay in the forest to get to the cave," says the test.

The test explains that crocodiles usually crawl for laying eggs, but these crocodiles have apparently been trapped. Because of this, they have become different.

Scientists also explain the mechanism of this change.

"If you take 100 human beings and multiply them with their generations for 1000 years, they begin to mutate because they just reproduce with each other," says the Test.

Several harmless creatures like hell.
