in #animal7 years ago

Steemers, There are so many type of animal species scattered around the world. Of the many species only a few newly discovered or recorded by the researchers. Each type of animal has its own unique characteristics, depending on the place and its functions are adapted to the habitat of his life.

Here are some of the animals that have unique and fantastic features ever captured by the camera. Here is the preview:

#1. Assassin spider (Archaeidae).

The spider is only 2 mm in length and although with a frightening name and appearance, it is not harmful to humans at all. Its long "neck" is specially designed to support the weight of its large jaw, equipped with a venomous tooth that serves to paralyze its prey.

#2. Leaf-tailed gecko (Uroplatus phantasticus).

These animals look more like dried leaves that have fallen out, so rarely seen by predators. It is found only in Madagascar, it includes insectivorous eaters with a fearsome appearance but not harmful to humans. Unfortunately, this remarkable species is threatened with extinction as it is hunted by people and destroys their natural habitat.

#3. Glass frog (Centrolenidae).

What makes this tiny tropical American frog so unique is that it has translucent skin, so it can be studied anatomically without having to dissect it. Some internal organs such as heart, intestine and liver can look perfect when viewed from below.

#4. Caterpillar Hemeroplanes.

These animals are very rarely seen and found only in tropical rain forests in Mexico and Central America.

This little creature usually looks normal and has a boring color, but if threatened by a predator, it will turn into extraordinary, it hangs from a branch with its hind legs, and lifts the front of its body, until it looks exactly like a venomous snake ready to exhale . This Hemeroplanes caterpillar has not been widely known, and this sad animal is threatened by its existence due to deforestation.

#5. Octopus coat (Tremoctopus violaceus).

This animal looks very contrast with the normal octopus and at first glance looks similar to the stingray.

The females are 40,000 times heavier than the males. Males only have a length of 2.4 cm while large females, with a length of more than 2 meters. If you feel threatened, females can enlarge their mantle-like membrane between the arms to make them look bigger.

#6. Leafy Sea Dragon (Phycodurus eques).

This fish, a close relative of sea horses, survives by pretending to be floating branches of seaweed. It swims very slowly and dorsally and its pectoral gill is transparent and almost invisible. Most predators do not even know that these animals exist.

This animal has a peculiar reproductive habit, the female puts the egg into the male body through a long tube, and the males carry the egg until it hatches. This fish is found on the south and west coast of Australia.

#7. Olm (Proteus anguinus).

These amphibians, the native animals of the deepest and darkest caves in Europe (most famous in Slovenia) and were once thought to be "dragon boys" have become one of the most bizarre animals in the world. This animal is totally blind and lack of the body pigmentation.

Although blind, it can capture chemical signals and electrical signals through receptors throughout its entire body. It has soft, pale skin that resembles a very pale human skin, which is why the locals are sometimes called "human fish".

Here are seven strange and unique animal species in the world today. However, the existence of these animals is threatened with extinction by humans who are not responsible for its function as the manager of the earth.
