Dragonflies are classified as carnivores. They usually eat mosquitoes, moths, ants, termites, bees, butterflies, and flies.
Dragonflies also eat larvae, tadpoles, and small fish. Nimfa dragonfly (the first stage after hatching) likes to eat mosquitoes.
Adult dragonflies can eat about 50 mosquitoes a day while flying so it acts as a controller of biological mosquitoes.
