Dysdercus cingulatus

Bapak pucung (Dysdercus cingulatus) atau Red Cotton Bug merupakan hama, baik serangga muda maupun dewasa, yang menyerang tanaman dari keluarga Malvaceae (kapas, rosela, dan okra) serta keluarga Bombacaceae (kapuk randu).

Badan bapak pucung berwarna merah dengan panjang 11 - 17 mm dan lebar 4,5 mm. Di belakang kepala dan perut ada garis putih dan hitam. Pada sayapnya yang barwarna cokelat terdapat sepasang bercak hitam. Nimfanya berwarna merah cerah dan hidup berkelompok.
