I have never thought of taking pictures at night, but this big bee called for it. I had to use flash to snap these photos because I didn't see it moved one bit when my lens almost touched it.
He hung on so tight on my zinnia flower and his body had some pollen on it! I am not a fan of using flash, but when the pictures didn't turn out, I just had to.
Early the next morning, I came out to check on the bee, and he was still there, hanging on! I had to believe that he chose to sleep there last night! They said that usually the wings are wet from the morning dew so they couldn't move. Sure enough, when the sunlight warmed him up, he left!

Thank you...
Geat photos of the big bee. I see the specks of pollen. I’m happy the bee was able to fly off once the sun came out. 🐝 ❤️
Thank you dear Joanne!
THANK the MAN up above, for pollen you can't get high on!!!
I always thank my God, and I don't need to get high!
Well done!
Nice macro!
Thank you! Glad to see you here :-) Hope all is well with you!
Nice shot .... I suppose the bee had no choice but to just hang their if its wings were wet.
Thank you! Regardless of whatever the case, I got my opportunity :-)
Exceptional photos @icybc. I'm glad you broke your no flash rule :) What a life for that bee... sleep in your happy place and sleep until the sun warms you up and you are ready for the day. Sounds good to me.
Yes, yes, and yes! Thank you, it was a good day :-)
Nice capture 😊👍🏻
Thanks...
