Driving The Princesses Through The Mountains

"LOOK! There's a baby bear!" Granny spotted it, called out and pointed at it. I grabbed the Fuji FinePix S8300 and started taking shots. All the girls peered out the window, this is what they saw...

Can you spot him?

They turn to look at granny... "Where, granny? Where's the bear?"

"RIGHT THERE!!!" Granny points frantically back out the window. Granny sees this:

He was just a baby, maybe 100 pounds.

The girls whip their heads back around in time to see this...

He is in there if you know where to look but of course, the girls did not know where to look.

"Granny, I can't see the bear!" they all cry out. They turn back and look at granny again. "Where is the bear?"

Granny does a palm to forehead and points back out the window. "RIGHT THERE!! LOOK!" Granny sees this:

What's all the fuss about?

The girls turn their heads back to the window in time to see this...

Peek-a-boo!

Still, they do not spot him. Granny is laughing a little hysterically now so I zoom in for a close up to show the girls at home. All other photos are unedited, this one I tried to clear up a bit. The zoom on this camera is so sensitive the idling car blurs images. THIS was the bear the girls finally saw, on the computer screen... so it goes!

We kept expecting his momma to come charge our car, but we never saw her at all. This little guy was sure a fun photo model, challenging!

HI @longsilver, I just stopped back to let you know your post was one of my favourtie reads and I included it in my PaddlingNature Ramble. You can read what I wrote about your post here

Thank you, I appreciate that very much!

That is funny! I get that too! Grandma! Where is the monkey? Where did the Jaguarundi go? I don't see him, Grandma! Are you teasing me, Grandma? At least you have proof! The Jaguarundi was so fast I almost didn't see him! LOL

Lol! Indeed, although I am still not sure they realize that was what we were trying to show them on the road.

OMG kids are so funny when they want to see/know something but aren't quite able to get it. Nice pics and write up. Made me smile. :)

Thank you! I wish we had thought to catch video of it, it was pretty funny!

adorable, I wonder what mama was thinking leaving him alone by the road like that.

I am sure she was nearby, none of us were at all tempted to get out of the car!

How fun! I have so many amazing memories with my Gram, and they're some of my favorites! My kids are23, 20 and 17, and they're still making memories with her. 💚

Your princesses will treasure all the time they get to spend with you!

It is a treasure to me, for sure!
