Get your ducks in a row

in #animalphotography6 years ago (edited)

Here are a few more photographs from the shoot that I took a couple of days ago at Ouse fen practicing using the Canon 50 mm lens. If you want to learn something. You really have to keep at it.

While trying to get my ducks in a row. These ducks helped out as if right on cue.

They were heading for a small inlet beside the Pike and Eel pub. You know I like a bit of signage and this one looked interesting.

As you can see there is a marina here and this odd circular building caught my attention. It looks like something from the neolithic period.

The ducks were heading home for the night.

And so must I. As I headed for the car park I saw this sunset silhouette. It was an interesting shoot and I got to see some interesting bird activity. I'll be going back to this spot in the future.

I can see why people just use this lens. It's pretty versatile and very handy when out and about. I set the camera to manual for all photos. Settings below.

That duck photo is quite stunning! I can see why you would want to go back there...Great photo opportunities!

It's a pretty serene place just to sit and watch the wildlife. I'll be popping back there soon. Maybe for lunch? It's got a good reputation.

I adore the picture of the ducks. It’s like a painting! All the pictures are great, but that one is really special.

They were very helpful ducks. Can't believe the video I got of them flying right over my head and landing right in front of me on the water.
It was a bit mystical.

A lot of people fall in love with that lens. I love mine.

I can see why people love it. I'm doing nature, landscapes and astrophotography all with the 50 mm. It's amazing.

maybe do a 50 mm challenge .. wonder how many have one

That sounds like a good idea.
