The trick to catch detail in those images is ... distance... The closer you can come the more detail you will see in those image. That really is a thing i am after. Also the setting is very important to me. Like perch and especially background. ;)

Remember.... It's very important not to scare your subjects away. Keep a comfort zone between you and the animal. If you visit certain animals/birds many times over and over again. You become part of their habitat. They do recognize you and they know you are not some sort of danger.
