YOU CAN'T GET MUCH MORE NEWBORN THAN THIS!

This was incredible!

While I was doing some tidying up near our quail today, I moved a garbage can full of chick feed. Under the can there was a tiny nest full of six mice! They were so small that they did not even have their eyes open yet. In fact, they didn't even have eyelids yet, just a solid piece of skin over the little eyeballs. I'm not sure I've ever seen baby mice this tiny before, but I sure have now. Check these photos out!

Newborn mice, very cute. Wait until they grow up 😁

Yeah.... about that... these ones won't actually get any older..... chickens...

An important message from the chickens. "Nice one Papa","More please".

Amazing post and also photography

They look like they should be baking in the oven a little longer. I can see their organs! We’re they wiggling around quite a bit?

I know! No eyes, visible organs, just tiny and pink!!!

What'd you do with them?

Chickens got 'em.

Circle of life, man.

Surprising, the images were a little scary but at the same time fascinating!

Greetings!

I guess those are preterm baby mice. Little beautiful creatures.

@eurogee of @euronation and @steemstem communities

Hmm.. are you sure those won't grow up into hell-raising rats?

I guess they are incredibly tiny..

Then there's my question when uncovering a similar nest of newborn rabbits...

NOW WHAT?!?!

Now, the chickens have a snack...

Ah, that makes sense. ;)

howdy there @papa-pepper! hey what kind of hat are you wearing there anyway? Well you always manage to come up with some of the most interesting photos, I have no idea how you do it but it's fantastic!
God bless you and the whole tribe!

So small man! They make your hands look enormous! Pretty cool stuff

These guys are super tiny. I don't think I would be able to touch these tiny and so gentle creatures and to tell you the truth I am not a huge fan of mice, they scare me, but I enjoyed the pictures. I have never seen brand new baby mice before so I really enjoyed this.

I find those ugly little things absolutely adorable!

That is pretty wild @papa-pepper. Is there any benefit to keeping them around? Thanks for sharing

Don't think they would be beneficial to keep around.

this baby mice look pretty but when they are adult age they make us trouble.

wow,It's incredible buddy, but I feel a little afraid of seeing something like this.

This take me back to the time, where I had Hamsters.

I too once had pet hamsters!

yOU SO LUCKY TO FIND THEM.
the question what will you with them? Keep or kill?

They look cute creature while newborn. they have no power and make everyone will feel everyone who sees it will feel sorry for the weak state. However, if they have grown for a few weeks these rats change from gentle creatures to very powerful rodents. ranging from crops, food, grain bahkah to clothes, cables, electronic equipment and other tools will be able to bite them to no longer function.

if one mother gave birth to six mice then imagine if at home or agricultural area there are a hundred mothers who gave birth to so many young rats that can destroy the harvest.

and the great thing is that the mice will mate again two days after giving birth and then get pregnant for 20 days. can be said in a year rats can give birth 6 to 10 times.
warm regard from Indonesia

These were eaten by the chickens and Guinea fowl. They sure are cute, but mice and rats running around doesn't really work out, like you said.

they can also be disease-bearing animals. So you have the right thing.

Sure are small. Mice dying out here in UK 💯🐒

Grab that mouse by the nap of the neck! You guys are going to have to get a cat not to keep the mice on their toes!

They look nice. But they damage our crop.

This is normal but I think you had rats, not mice. I used to have hooded rats for pets, and that is baby size for them. They are born hairless with eyes covered, but mice will be a lot smaller (1/4th that size).

They were good chicken food, and momma will be about 6 or 7 inches in the body length. Better set some traps! :)

Good protein for animals.
Kinda jealous you found them, my kid has a snake and it is still small enough that three of those would stuff it’s belly.
Frozen pinky mice are $1.99 EACH!

oh wow those things are tiny

Chicken snack? Yeah I am not one to kill something just to kill it but hey you have to protect your land and everything on it and these little ones would have grown fast and caused some issues!

I don't think I have seen baby mice this small! Nice photos, @papa-pepper! But now that you have disturbed the nest, will mama mouse still accept the babies?
