Mi-yaw looking gloomy 🙀

In the kitchen? No. In the garden? Nope. Maybe under the sofa? Nah, not here also. Nooo! I can't find my catnip?!

The cherry on my pie and the apple of my eye. The moon to my night and the sun to my morning. Now... you're gone.

Catnip oh catnip. Where hath thy master hidden thee?

If you don't know what that plant is or probably just heard it somewhere before, a Catnip or Nepeta cataria (scientific name) is

a member of the mint family and contains an essential oil known as nepetalactone which gets some cats high.

And may only approximately last for 10 minutes.
Although it makes them high, it is

not harmful or addictive to cats.

However, since it is

a known uterine stimulant and should be avoided in pregnant cats.

The Nepetalactone which is an active ingredient found in the leaves and stem of the plant, causes the hallucinogenic effect.

Some say the effects are similar to LSD; others say they are more similar to marijuana (some people claim that smoking catnip induces a high like that of marijuana, not that we recommend you try it).
Catnip doesn’t induce a high in humans like it can in cats. It tends to have a sedative effect, instead.

❗️Catnip is also an effective mosquito & insect repellant and mice hate the smell so they avoid it.

Woah! Thank you very much @gex231 :)

Approximately 40,000 people are bitten by cats in the U.S. annually.

Cats that live together sometimes rub each others heads to show that they have no intention of fighting. Young cats do this more often, especially when they are excited.

Of all the species of cats, the domestic cat is the only species able to hold its tail vertically while walking. All species of wild cats hold their tail horizontally or tucked between their legs while walking.
