The African canine may be a carnivorous and timeserving predator, looking larger animals on the African plains in their huge teams. African Wild Dogs primarily kill giant mammals like Warthogs and various species of bovid, supplementing their diet with Rodents, Lizards, Birds and Insects. they're even known to hunt abundant larger herbivores that are created vulnerable through illness or injury, like gnu. though the African Wild Dog's prey is commonly abundant quicker, the chase will last for miles, and it's this Dog's stamina and perseverance that produces them therefore winning, together with their ability to keep up their speed. looking as a pack additionally means the African Wild Dogs will simply corner their prey.

Interesting! I thought all dogs were "canis lupus something" - like me, I'm a canis lupus familiaris, but turns out canids like this are different. This one is a Lycaon pictus... still loosely related to me though!
I still think I would like to be friends with one. Maybe we could hunt together!
