I keep an eye out for animals in need.
So when I saw this cat wandering a deserted stretch of country road on a bitterly cold evening, I knew I had to stop. I called out to him, and to my surprise, he cautiously approached me. Once he figured out I meant him no harm, he became extremely relaxed and friendly. I put him in my warm truck and gave him a comfortable home in our garage for the evening with food and water. The next day I took him to our local no-kill shelter which has a very high adoption rate, where I hope he will be claimed by his owner, or find a new home altogether.
Please be kind and help an animal in need. The world needs more compassionate people.

Kudos, @countryinspired! Hope he finds his way home, wherever that turns out to be.
Good going @countryinspired Sounds like he's someones pet. Should have no problem finding a new home for such a friendly cat. Hope to here more from you on your own cats.
I will post about our cats sooner or later-- once they do something ridiculous or unique :)
great guy. you did well rescuing that cat and keep it up.
Thank you very much!
With your name countryinspired and the cat really like you or do you have some pets at home.Nice, keeping doing your great work @countryinspired. You are too nice indeed.
You're a good friend to the cats, for sure! You have such a way with them. Here's to that cat finding a great home! Cats are nice to have around -- I have a few that were feral and are now happy members of the household. They have such different personalities, too. Enjoy your cats!
Respect, save the cats!
