I was deeply sad and angry after I watched this documentary. Filmed in my country, Romania, it is a perfect tragic depiction of the majority of people living here. It is great that it has english subtitles and more people throughout the world could see what is happening in here
Animal cruelty is never ok. The sad thing is that I personally encountered people who thought that beating a dog to teach him a lesson is ok. These people got used with violence because they saw it at their parents. We live in a country where a father beating his children is seen as tough love and a means of education. For those who say that it is ok and everybody experienced that, normalizing brutality, I would say to them: look in the mirror to see what you have become. Do you really think that early violence did not affect you? Think again.
Unfortunately, most of these individuals do not admit having a problem. And this is how brutality spreads. In this movie we can see how meat ends up on the romanian platter. We see how animals are horribly treated. This is what the lack of education does. Romania, a country where if you want to kindly persuade someone to get education by giving them a book or a link to a video, some might feel offended saying you want to make me read books because you think I am stupid or what?. Sad. For those who think like this, I would again put a mirror in their face. They are those people who make time to watch 10 hours of netflix but they hardly ever read a book since they finished school....
There is also this dreadful habit of celebrating the slaughter of pigs on winter holidays. Romanians pride with this. A disgusting habit I never participated in. The animals are kept in filthy conditions and treated like beasts. I wonder if for one day a person would be put in the same cages to sit in their own filth, if people could grasp the bestiality of their behavior. Animals suffer too.
I am not surprised that in Romania domestic abuse is common. That men see it only fair to talk trash, insult and even physically abuse a woman. If they treat animals with cruelty, more likely their behavior will be the same towards humans. I am disgusted deeply by what I saw and under no circumstance should anyone beat and abuse an animal or a human being. This is wrong on so many levels and although it is pain to watch this kind of documentaries, it is also necessary to raise awareness. To educate people and teach them that the way they have been doing things is wrong.
I am happy to see that there is also hope and not all romanian people are like this. There are also the good people who know the value of education and want to make a change. Changing your nutritional habits and turning into a vegetarian is not hard. Educating yourself about nutrition and understanding that we don't have to eat meat to be healthy is important. I personally consider making a change after I watched this, I can only hope that many who watched this will do it too.
This is a perfect example to show what is needed to change humanity: education. People use brutality and are violent because most of them grew up like this. They know no better. They become brutes and think that it is ok. Once they could awaken, I am sure that they would be disgusted by their own behavior and turn around. Until then, violence will spread like an infection. We all contribute to it unless we speak and take attitude.
Have a blessed day and toodle loo!
We always learn from our elders..If they are doing such kind of things in front of child.He/She will also do that...Beating a dogs to teach them a lesson not comes in a good habit. I am always against it.They are also a living beings..if we feel pain then the animals too.
@creativemary I had always loved your post and surely I will reblogged this post.because it is necessary to open the eyes of some ediot people's who have no heart.
Keep it up ❤️.Very nice documentry.❤️❤️❤️
Thank you very much! Yes, we learn from the elders. But contrary to popular beliefs, they are not always wise.
I appreciate you reading this! Have a great day!
Your welcome buddy ☺️ @creativemary
I am lucky to have not experienced what so many others have, in my life time. I know my part is small, but I also know the tiny difference I can make could go a long way. This cruelty.. animal, human, or otherwise.. has to stop! I won't stand witness to it. grrrrrrrr....
Anyhow.. Thank you for bringing this to light 😊 information is power and awareness is key to change.
Yes it is important to raise awareness. A lack of education, ignorance and old mentalities are responsible for this behavior happening even in 2021. Thank you for reading it😊
This makes me so sad - I don't think I could watch this documentary because it would upset me too much. I'm glad there was some hope in it though. The world needs hope.
It is very upsetting to watch, I actually cried watching it, there are good parts in it. I could not believe that people still act like this in 2021, but reality is what it is.
Animal sanctuaries are a new concept in Romania and I do hope that in the future things will change and people will become better. Thank you for reading!
