Flying birds of the sea

in #animals3 years ago

According to the observations and calculations made by scientists, 98% of emperor penguins living on the shores of Antarctica may not see the year 2100. The slightest change can change their destiny for these creatures that live in the glaciers on the shores of Antarctica. So much so that, if the number of glaciers in the sea increases, the journey they will take to catch fish will take longer, and this work will become quite troublesome, and moreover, their offspring may starve to death; Even if the number of glaciers in the sea decreases, they can drown and die because they will have to be under water for a long time.

If countries do not adopt and implement policies to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases that cause global warming, the sea ice cover that determines the fate of penguins will be irreversibly destroyed. It has been announced that the sea ice in Antarctica will disappear to a large extent by 2100, and therefore the number of penguins will decrease. At this rate, all Emperor Penguin colonies will be on the verge of extinction by 2100.

Thanks to the data obtained for decades, the effects of human-induced climate change on emperor penguins, the marine habitat and food resources in Antarctica can be measured clearly, and the necessary calculations can be made accordingly and more or less predicted in the future.

Although penguins mate in the ice that is attached to the landmass, they forage for food in ice floes that float under the influence of wind and ocean currents and can sink and resurface later. In addition, the glaciers in the sea are the number one address for penguins to rest, molt and escape from predators.
