I'll keep it brief and sweet.
If you love your pets, you know you gotz to be responsiblezz...
Nobody's perfect but we can always learn.
Never, ever, never give these foods to you pets (cats or dogs):
- Chocolate, Candy and Gum - Toxicity can cause vomiting, diarrhea, heart arrhythmias and seizures, and even can be fatal. This is due to an ingredient in chocolate called theobromine. Xylitol found in gum can lead to liver failure within a few days.
- Fatty foods/Processed foods- Cheeseburgerzzz, bacon and fried foods and other processed are not good. Don;t give in when we beg because consumption can lead to vomiting, diarrhea and gas, and can result in pancreatitis and gastrointestinal issues.
- Fat trimming and bones - We run the risk of pancreas and liver problems. Raw or undercooked bones? Sharp or splintered bones can tear digestive organs and cause internal bleeding.
- Canned Tuna - Tuna now and then doesn't hurt. But a diet of tuna leads to malnutrition because it won't have all the nutrients a cat needs.
- Raw eggs - are bad for skin and fur. Excellent IF they are cooked.
- Onion & Garlic- As for vampires, these can be lethal because of an ingredient called thiosulphate. Total damage to red blood cells, followed by anemia and suppression of the immune system.
- Grapes and raisins - can cause kidney issues in dogs and cats. Even small amounts can result in lethargy, shivers and a decreased appetite.
- Citrus - Citric acid and essential oils can cause irritation and possibly even central nervous system depression if ingested in significant amounts.
- Fruit with pits - can cause us to choke or obstruct our intestines, particularly plum and peach pits, which also contain poisonous cyanide.
- Nuts- especially Macadamia, are toxic and lead to seizures, lethargy, vomiting or loss of muscle control.
- Salt and Spices - vomiting, diarrhea, depression, tremors, elevated body temperature, seizures and even death. Spices can irritate the colon so much, it leads to bleeding and infection.
- Dog food for Cats - Cats need more protein as well as certain vitamins and fatty acids. A diet of dog food will cause your cat to be severely malnourished.
- Milk & Dairy products - Because we don't have significant amounts of lactase (the enzyme that breaks down lactose in milk), milk and other dairy-based products cause them diarrhea or make us fart like you wouldn't believe. Not cool.
- Coconut and Coconut Oil - contain oils that may cause stomach upset, loose stools (that you have to clean) or diarrhea. Yuck.

Even if we're cute, even if we beg, do what's best. I hope it was helpful!
Part 2 will be a list of toxic house plants, so follow me @jimicoco if you want to learn more.
Both humans and cats have identical regions in the brain responsible for emotion.
Alright wait.. So first I read:
Then I read:
Haha.. That's quite ironic since it's a cat teaching people how to pet :D
Nah but awesome post. I think you host quite a variety of important information.
Thank you! That is my aim. To show people how to care better for their pets, from an animal's point of view and to evidence aspects such as communication and bonding. People expect for animals to just love them. And it's not fair. Like any other relationship, it's based on trust; that you humanz are responsable of building - we are innocent.
I have followed you and liked votef for you olease follow me back n vote
We are all eating this poison all the time . Its time to change the diet and lifestyle
Any moment to do that , is the right moment. The biggest danger is processed foods. In Europe...it's still ok-ish, but in the USA...itá big problema. Even if people want to avoid it, there are no clean sources of food. The foods above are a-ok for humans, but please do not give to pets.
