A few years back you could actually see (juvinile) Great Whites in the Montery Bay Aquarium https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monterey_Bay_Aquarium. If they do it again you at least don't have to swim with them to get up close. :P

Sadly, Great Whites do not survive in captivity. Scientists and biologists are still trying to work out why these sharks won't eat in captivity! Its interesting though, I hope at some stage they come to a full conclusion as right now its still speculation!
I reckon, I would rock up on the boat getting ready to go into the dive cage then chicken out at the last minute! Specially if "Deep Blue" turned up... No thanks!!
The Bay Aquarium kept the great white alive and well for about 200 days before she grew restless so they decided to release her. I think the techniques have already been developed for juvinile great whites but bigger is a problem (here is the source http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/oceans-in-glass-behind-the-scenes-of-the-monterey-bay-aquarium-tracking-the-great-white/640/)
Amazing isnt it? :) Shame they couldn't keep her Perm tagged!
