This did NOT happen in December back in Wisconsin!
Honestly, I'm really diggin' the t-shirt weather in December and all of the work I'm able to down on the ground level since it's not all covered with snow like back in my homeland of Wisconsin. Today, in-between some garden projects that I'll share about later, my oldest son "Monster Truck" went on a grasshopper catching spree.
He caught quite a few, and they were all pretty small, so I think they may even be hatching. I've seen some mating and laying eggs too recently, so the whole life cycle seems to never stop down here. Anyway, since I love little creatures, I put the macro lens on the camera and had some fun getting creative. Here's the outcome of the photo shoot. Enjoy!

They are beautiful fascinating creatures but eat a lot of green leaves in a day so we have to protect against them. I love your photos ❤️🦋🌈🍀🌴
Cute little bug and two antennas.
Do they hop when they see humans ?

hey pepper, I i was concerned when I moved to SW Missouri from Arizona,.. I was concerned that after 22 years in Arizona I would have gotten "soft", I originally grew up in Washington state in a small town called conconully, was used to winter weather there,.. but I must say that I am not disappointed with the winter weather here,.. I never would have thought that on december 19, I would be out screening garden dirt in a t shirt,.. last year was a little more frosty,.. we had snow this time last year, hope you and the family are doing well,.. stay smurfy, my friend stay smurfy!
Good shots, Mate!....:)...
