People in the previous times had some sort of obsession with big sized dogs. It was often desired to breed dogs that are bigger and better, which can become feared guardians and proficient predators. There are countless of big dog breeds, respectively with diverse maintenance and training needs. Therefore, there have been ample massive dog breeds produced in the world over the times. There is no general height or weight at which a breed is legitimately categorized as a giant dog but some describe giant breeds as those heftier than 100 pounds (45 kg).
1) Caucasian Shepherd Dog

They are moderately big but are not precisely weighty; a completely mature adult male should be about 70 centimeters tall (28 inches) and can weigh about 45 kilograms (99 pounds). They are a tough type, with rather hostile tempers. They are slightly clever, and a dutiful breed.
2) French Mastiff
Also known as Dogue de Bordeaux. This breed of dog is renowned for their enormous head and well-built body. The full-grown dogs can have a height amid 20-23 inches and weigh up to 62.2 kg. Their skin is quite copious and the body structures substantial wrinkles on their face and neck.
3) The Great Dane
Is of German origin. The German name, Deutsche Dogge, means German mastiff. They aren't the weightiest dogs; they can reach up to 100-120 pounds. But they are amongst the tallest. A regular Great Dane is about 28-30 inches tall and can be taller.
4) Neapolitan Mastiff
This is an additional prevalent breed of mastiff. Even though it’s not as enormous as the English mastiff, the extents of this dog are still very remarkable. A male can weigh about 130–155 pounds (60-70 kg) and females about 110–130 pounds (50–60 kg). The type of dog is usually daring and awfully defensive of its family.
