Years ago, we took fourteen from a gentleman who had been diagnosed with cancer and could no longer care for them. Seven males and seven females. Nobody told us Muscovies averaged 24 eggs per clutch and could have up to three clutches a year.
Do the math. It gets exponential. Hundreds of Muscovy ducks later, all I can say is that they breed--very, very effectively.
