While browsing the posts on the Steem blockchain this morning, this little butterfly decided to fly in the window and do a pose for me. It's not often that I'm able to get this close to a butterfly to capture its details, so it was really cool to be able to get this photo.
I have been trying to identify it, but I'm actually not sure about what species it is. It kind of looks like a Pieris brassicae to me, but these are typically not this yellow, so I'm not so sure about this ID. Does anyone here have any idea? The last time I identified an insect wrong, several people were able to tell me the correct species, so hopefully this will happen once again.
Anyway, good morning everyone. I hope you are all doing great, and have a good week.
Yes, it is pieris brassicae nepalensis if em not wrong this is also called cabbage butterfly ,but whatever it,s name,it is very cute, very beautiful photograph.
Beautiful...
I noticed that you have been missing on the steemit for some days...Is everything OK.???
Hi, @xabi. Yes, everything is fine. Thanks for asking! Unfortunately life has been extremely busy for me lately, and I have not had the opportunity to write or publish anything here on Steem. I will hopefully be able to write a few posts next week again :)

Cool pic.
I seelots of people post pictures of butterflies, bees, grasshoppers etc. When I try to take a pic of one, they all seem to start a game of hide and seek. Maybe I need to train to get a more bug-friendly face :0)
Beautiful yellow one! Have a great week, too:)
Pieris brassicae. This species is very common here and it often gets this yellowish shade. This one, for example, looks almost identical to the one that came to visit you this morning :)Awesome close-up, @valth! :) I am pretty sure it is indeed

Amazing moment caught
A beautiful curious butterfly who wants to discover the world of steemit.
Butterflies are splendid creatures, but they disappear before we can capture their beauty.
Wow, it is beautiful butterfly.
I like it's color.
Have a good day @valth
You even managed to capture all the fuzz! Very nice of it to pose for you :)
wow, amazing macrophotography of butterfly. Lucky one to capture such a close shot of butterfly. Hopefully this butterfly wil bring lady luck and happy news for you and your family. Have a nice time @valth
Sommarfuglane plar ofte ikkje vera så lettskremde, slik at det er råd å koma nær nok innpå dei til å få eit bilete.
Eit vakkert bilde av ein kålsommarfugl @Valth Her har du teke eit blinkskot @Valth
This is indeed a cabbage butterfly. They frequent my garden and like to lay eggs on my home grown broccoli, with their larvae causing moderate damage.
