[Figure Review] Fate/Stay Night - Saber Lily - SQ (Banpresto)

in #anime7 years ago

Today, i'm trying out a new thing called as "Figure Review"! I have a collection of 48 anime figures (or maybe 50?) and the numbers keep increasing. However, mostly are the prize figure.

If you not familiar with the term, prize figure is not as high quality as the premium figure that could cost you about +300 MYR and above. (Malaysian Ringgit). Prize figure is not as bad as you think. Prize figure is usually you can get at UFO Catcher at Japan arcades and some Anime related shop.

  • Who is she?

Saber Lily is a young version of Artoria Pendragon in Fate/Unlimited Codes

  • Short review

She was made by Banpresto. Banpresto is a well known manufacturer for manufacturing Japanese toys. With the height of 200mm, it is sure quite tall and you may check again if you still have enough head room for your display.

This figure was release on July 2013. It is little bit outdated but with the appearance of the mobile game Fate/ Grand Order, she is gaining back the fans attention on her again.

  • The painting = 9/10

The painting is clean and sharp on the edges. However there is little of smudge on the both hand but it is small so it can be remove if you want to. (No, i didn't). The small details on the sword is painted very well done.

  • The sculpture = 9/10

The sculpture is staying true to the character. With a glance, you know that she is a Saber, but a younger version of Artoria Pendragon. It's done in pretty a good job at this point. The body is made with PVC.

  • The accessories = 8/10

The sword are little bit loose on the joint between the hand. However i love the details on the sword despite it is only a prize figure.

Overall, its a good figure if you are in small budget. If you are in for a bigger budget, go for a more higher quality that is offer higher details.

Anyway thanks for coming and have a nice day :)

Ahh, fate/Unlimited Codes, one of those pretty fun yet broken fighting games. As expected from Capcom and some guys from Eighting which makes TvC and MVC3.

It is a good game to be play? I want to play it but didn't have enough time to be spared

Fate/Unlimited Codes first came out for the arcades and then has a console release on PS2, which is in Japanese only. There's also a PSP version which has an English version. I would say that i you want a full arcade experience where execution is heavy (like most o the competitive fighting games out there) PS2 version is a get go. But i you want to breeze out the game, PSP version, since their special moves (example is Street Fighter Ryu's Hadouken) can be executed easier. Plus, the English version will help you out on what's going on in the lore at least. Still, both has equal amount of content, which is standard fare for a fighting game at the time.

Alright, i think i will play at PSP since i have it lol. Anyway thank you very much. Its very informative! Hey, maybe you should make a review of it? Seems like you really like the game, just my two cents XD

As in review on a new post? The thing is, Fate/Unlimited is fun and all, but it's not my favourite game of all time. XD

I didn't have it yet XD
