[First Impression] “Emiya-san Chi no Kyou no Gohan” Winter Anime 2018 – Shokugeki no Emiya??

What if there is a universe where there is no The Holy Grail War and everyone live in peace and harmony while enjoying the food together? And what if Emiya Shirou become the “Shokugeki No Soma”?

• The Synopsis

Today's Menu For Emiya Family (衛宮さんちの今日のごはん, Emiya-san Chi no Kyou no Gohan?) is an ongoing parody manga written and illustrated by TAa.

The story centers around Shirou Emiya cooking dishes for the other Fate/stay night characters.

• The First Impression

The show started with the two master and servant who strolling together at the market searching for the dinner menu. It’s quite nice to see both of them again in such a happy and harmony manner. If you familiar with the Fate universe, most of them are all about wars among them.

All of the voice actors from the Fate/Stay Night are coming back for this spin off series. All notable characters like Shirou Emiya, Saber, Rin Tohsaka, Sakura, Illyasviel, Taiga and more are in the show too!

You may feel little bit disappointed with the visual if you’re expecting Unlimited Budget Works “uhuk uhuk”… Unlimited Blade Works visual-like, I do think that why would you need that kind of visual for a spin-off? For me, Ufotable does deliver the show pretty great. It shows the series with a nice, warm and comfy of slice of life show.

If you’re into cooking, you may learn something too from Emiya!

The characters expression? The interaction with Emiya and Saber (or you may prefer call her Artoria Pendragon), the face when Saber eats the food and all of it are pretty well done by Ufotable.

• Saber who likes to eat some food

• Emiya who likes to cook some food

• A family and friends who like to enjoy the food

• Food brings happiness.

Anyway remember when there is new season coming, the 3-episode rule must be applied! And also, food brings happiness!

Oh ya, Emiya mentioned that behind Year End Soba, it means "To be by your side for many years to come."

More money -> more people -> more man-hours put into it. Anyway I do hope that more anime studio would make that kind of quality in the future and the animators are should paid well too :)

I dunno about that one. I've also watched One Punch Man with it's crazy fight scenes just to find out that the animators are given normal payment or those crazy scenes. Done it out of passion they say.

It does look amazing but i just know it will come out at monthly (i think?) so now it only has one episode
