[warning, minor spoiler]
As we know, Overlord season 2 already aired. I got someone posted in reddit:
"I really don't think a faster paced season 2 would be so bad.
Now I'm not some super Overlord fan who have combed through all the text with a magnifying glass so I really can't say know all the small nuances of Overlord but I have read all the light novels once and some books twice.
With that being out of the way I would not mind if Madhouse managed to cram 4 novels into this season ending at the invader of the large tomb. I believe that they can blow past the lizard man arc in 3 Eps because I do not think it is all that important to the plot nor do I think it serves as a great transition to the next arc. The Men in the Kingdom Arc should be the bulk of this season being 6 to 7 eps. I think this is one of the best arcs of the entire series and it will drive sales and time should be spent on it. Many people think that the momon v Jaldabaoth fight should end the series but why extend in my opinion an underwhelming lizardman arc to 5 eps and MITK to 8 just to make that happen (assuming they do not use any drama cd or etc). Instead, why not just use the extra 3-4 eps to do complete the invader of the large tomb arc since the main objective of this arc was to set for the following 2 arcs and madhouse could use it to set up for season 3. I think the only problem with this is that the last arc may feel rushed if only 3 eps.
As for the ending since ending on that arc may be a bit boring they could use a hype beast type cliffhanger which could be a snippet of the next arc which shows Ainz casting Tribute to the Black Bounty (Ia Shub-Niggurath) but before the viewer gets to see the results from that spell the camera pans to a view to the empire soldiers expressions and then to the point of view of the dark young while it chases down a hoard of frantically running kingdom soldiers until it ultimately makes one of them go SPLAT.
or something like that."
so what do you think?
