The official website of the animated horror film Aragne no Mushikago by Saku Sakamoto will finally be released on August 18th and will leave us a new trailer.
Sakamoto will direct the film based on his own original concept and script, being also producer of animation and music. The director and author Osamu Fukutani supervises the production.
The story of the film takes place in an apartment building where several spirits live. Near him he moves to live a university student named Rin of 18 years, who ends up getting involved in several problems of the building after discovering it and ends up knowing the truth about the place.
In the cast will be Ayana Shiramoto as the mysterious Nasuha, Yosuke Itou as the investigator Tokiyo, Fukujuro Katayama as the shaman Saion and Shogo Batori as Mikaya, a young man with certain secrets. The voice of the girl protagonist, Rin, has not been revealed at the moment.
Sakamoto started working as a freelance animator in 2002, having worked as director of Minna no Uta for NHK or in the 3D graphics of Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence.
The film was partially financed via the crowfunding platform Makuake, with which they raised a total of 2 million yen.
