Hey mate, looks like I missed a lot of wonderful movie posts from you. But hopefully this weekend I will catch up.. added this movie to my must watch list..
But first let me get it over with shayamalan series.. sixth sense done and will do unbreakable tonight..

One of Ghibli's greatest films. I cried like crazy during the ending, it was a very heart-wrenching story.

Definitely! If we didn't have Studio Ghibli, we would need to do with Disney.

What a Twilight Zone! Just few days ago I thought how I didn't watch this movie for years!

I can read minds. Didn't you know? After posting this, I found out that it's actually on Netflix, here. I might give it a re-watch myself, one of these days ;>)

I would recommend Studio Ghibli movies any day. This one is possibly the one I would tell people not to watch if they are not familiar with the other Ghibli movies, because it is so unlike the others in many ways. Still a good movie.

I totally agree and - as you mentioned in another comment - it might have to do with the fact that it is not a Miyazaki film ;>)

While Isao Takahata is a good writer and director, his films are my least liked Ghibli movies. I still watched and enjoyed all of them though.

Few years back I watched this movie,it’s quiet emotional at the end...good movie suggestion.

It definitely is. I gave it another watch after writing this review and I became very emotional indeed.
