I bounce from health anxiety to health anxiety. It might be due to being in my 30s and more things go wrong potentially or maybe a symptom of other stress. Health anxiety might be my way of expressing my anxiety about life in general. I have an impacted wisdom tooth that is coming down and it is causing pain in my 2nd molar tooth that shouldn't be able to feel pain because it had a root canal. There's no nerve left do it shouldn't feel pain.
I'd much prefer if the wisdom tooth itself was sore.
In my mind if I wait the pain might go away and the wisdom tooth removal will be covered partially by insurance in 2025. My insurance for dental is used up for 2024.
But if I wait too long my 2nd molar might get damaged. So I could save money by waiting but it could also cost thousands more dollars and pain if waiting 3 months causes worse damage.
I'll go for an appointment to see an oral surgeon and spend the few hundred dollars to get their opinion and then I can make the best decision.
I don't know how much it cost there to remove it but the best decision is to take it out at least that is what I did in your case. In Greece it costs 150 euro.
Yes I think the cost could be a thousand Canadian dollars or more if I need sedation but agreed it will be worth getting the oral surgeon's opinion and get it taken out if they recommend it. It's worth the cost to avoid pain and further problems
Dental care scares me the most 😫, and pain is the least of my concerns. It's the expensive cost and the fact that I don't have dental insurance that worry me. I'm just lucky that I've never had major dental surgery up to this point.
I suggest you get it checked and see what's really causing the pain.
Yeah the cost scares me too. I'm lucky to have dental insurance with work but I used up all the coverage for 2024 already lol.
But yeah I'll book an appointment and find out what the oral surgeon recommends. Better to find out anyway
My sister lives in Canada and I heard from her that the teeth treatment is much more expensive there. May Allah relieve your pain. Ameen
Thank you 😊
Hope you are able to get your dental issue resolved, having a constant pain from it is quite awful.
