Khaleda Zia asked for permission to send to United or Apollo
According to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, she asked permission to send her to a private hospital for better treatment. According to the recommendations of the doctors and civil surgeons, a letter has been sent to the home ministry. It has signed two doctors and civil surgeons. But no decision has been made yet.
On April 26, the letter was sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs. A source in the prison department confirmed the information to the Bangla Tribune. However, the home ministry's security department secretary Farid Uddin Chowdhury contacted the phone and refused to comment. Likewise, the concerned officers of the Department of the Department are also reluctant to say anything.
Of course, the source said, Khaleda Zia's condition is stable and normal. His health condition is good. Always be a doctor and nurse in the prison room next to him. Nevertheless, the former prime minister has sought permission to give him treatment at a private hospital. He mentioned the names of two hospitals in the capital. Those are Unaidate Hospital Limited and Apollo Hospital Limited.
Khaleda Zia has repeatedly been asked to be admitted to United Hospital and BNP has been asked to provide medical treatment. On April 22, the Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal met a delegation of the BNP at the secretariat. Another representative, led by BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul on Saturday (April 28th), met with him in prison and demanded better treatment.
Regarding the letter of the prison department, BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan said, "We know that a letter has been sent to the home ministry. But there is no decision yet. We have been demanding treatment of chairperson almost every day, but I am not getting any results. "
Fifth Special Judge Court placed in Bakshibazar gave Khaleda Zia five years in jail on Feb 8, in a corruption case filed against Zia Orphanage Trust on February 8. Immediately after the verdict was pronounced, he was taken to the old central jail of Nazimuddin Road in old Dhaka. Since the announcement of the court, he is there.
According to the advice of the Medical Board, Khaleda Zia was brought to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on April 7 for health examination. On that day, he was again taken to the old jail of Nazimuddin Road at around 2pm.
