The following is not financial advice.
Welcome to back The Scoop!
This is the next post at a place where we share analysis and opinions for interesting coins, tokens and pure gems in the vast landscape of the blockchain world. There's so many coins out there, but not a lot of free information (looking at you, paid groups) and analysis on them. The Scoop aims to change that by sharing and improving the data available for a given coin by focusing on evaluating instead of predicting.
What are AppCoins?
They are tokens for use on the popular Aptoide app marketplace, which runs on Android and has been around since 2009. Tokens have three main uses: advertising, so paying users for their attention to ads, in-app purchases and app reputation. Aptoide already has OEMs waiting to take updates for token integration, so it's just literally a matter of delivering the product for adoption to begin for the already established 200 million downloads user base.

Roadmap
Where's the wallet?
One can store APPC tokens in an ETH wallet.
Multiple whitepapers:
https://appcoins.io/#aic-Documents
How many of them are they?
CMC says ~100m circulating with a total supply of ~246m, but the whitepaper says 450m total.
Only 40% of the tokens were sold to the market, the rest were reserved for the business, ecosystem and 10% for the team.

Who's the team?
CEO has a background in academia, COO has a law degree, lots of interesting profiles and the company is loaded with developers and business/marketing people.
Nice set of advisors too, folks from TenX, Ripple/Google, Shapeshift and a few others.
What motivates them?
10% pre-allocation for the team.
Marketcap and Competitors?
~154m cap with upwards of ~27m volume. Still room to grow for a project with it's potential.
We haven't heard of other appstores using crypto tokens, yet.
How is APPC different?
Using tokens within an appstore just makes sense.
Pros
- niche market
- already established product
- straightforward adoption
- high volume exchanges
- solid business plan
- cool factor
Cons
- attention economy participation (philosophical)
- large token pre-allocation, although explainable
Any constructive criticism?
Everything seems pretty solid, just focus on the integration and ensure it gets in Aptoide as soon as possible.
And be careful to limit the waste of consciousness an attention economy produces. It's not a positive thing for our society to have people watching ads all day.
Where is it traded?
Both Binance and Huobi claim significant market volume for it. That's big.

The Final
Based on the FA, APPC looks like a low to medium risk with high reward potential if they continue to deliver and catch on. Picking it up under 11k sats would be bargain or around a $2.50 - $3 would be an upper entry while still expecting solid, crypto-style gains.
And that's your scoop!
